Michael Banham Collection

Michael Banham was appointed Lord Mayor of Norwich in 2005-2006. In 2008 he became the chairman of the Lord Mayor and Sheriff Civic Association which was formed to ensure the traditions of the city were upheld and to promote Norwich across East Anglia and abroad. Taking part in the Lord Mayor's Street Procession is one of the traditions the assocation likes to uphold. This collection also shows floats from the Rowntree Mackintosh Chocolate Factory in the 1970's and 1980's, where Michael Banham worked, which is now the site of Chapelfield Shopping Centre.
