Colour
Think of all the articles you know that are, or ought to be made of leather: shoes, slippers, handbags, gloves, belts, wallets, brief cases, dressing cases, etc. You wouldn't want them all be the dull reddish brown or greenish blue of the natural tannages. So they are given a colourful and protective coating of leather finish. And for your further interest, the best of these leather finishes are made locally by... Nene Finishes (Northampton) Ltd. Delapre Works, Northampton.
