Foreword
Once again carnival time is here. Proceeds of our 1954 Carnival parade are being devoted to St, Christopher’s Home, St. George's Homestead, Bethany Homestead, Methodist Homestead and the Northampton Branch of the National Spastic Society.

It is hardly necessary to commend the public of Northampton the causes being supported. The aim of the Carnival Committee is to raise £1,00 on Carnival Night, to enable a worthwhile contribution to be made to each of the benefiting bodies.

The Carnival Parade provides a "night out" for most of Northampton, and it is hoped that the efforts of the Committee and competitors will be rewarded by the generosity of the public.
