Saving the environment was the whole school theme for this nursery carnival. Each class chose a different environment to depict and children were involved in making costumes representing aspects of that environment. This banner represents Rainforest. Children contributed the designs which were taken by adults to put together a batik design.
Many different fabric techniques can be used in carnival including tie dye, batik, flour resist, fabric printing, potato printing and painting direct onto fabric as well as ICT techniques involving printing photos onto cloth!
