Nadella Benjamin, carnival mas designer from Trinidad, worked with this Lambeth school to create a school carnival, She supported children and staff through the processes which are essential to understanding a mas camp and how costumes are arrived at. The class were working on the topic on The Elements. Nadella asked children for their suggestions and helped them think about creating section costumes based on the 4 elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water.She helped them organise the construction of section costumes allocating different tasks to different groups of children so that an efficient production line process was created.
