The theme the group chose for this year was roses and the people were dressed as clowns. The theme of Roses was inspired by the creation of a 'Samaritan's Rose' by Harkness Roses of Hitchin. The rose was orange and black which used to be the colours of the Samaritans before they changed to green.

Marilyn Gearing spent a long time spray painting lots of roses orange for the float. Marilyn is standing in the middle of the group wearing a straw hat.
