Description | The theme the group chose for this year was roses and the people were dressed as clowns. The theme of Roses was inspired by the creation of a 'Samaritan's Rose' by Harkness Roses of Hitchin. The rose was orange and black which used to be the colours of the Samaritans before they changed to green. Marilyn Gearing spent a long time spray painting lots of roses orange for the float. The message painted on the float reads "Always at the end of the line whatever the time".
