Description | Whilst waiting in Wardown Park before the carnival parade started several members of the Samaritans group sat and ate curry and chips. The theme the group chose for this year was roses and the people were dressed as clowns. The theme of Roses was inspired by the creation of a 'Samaritan's Rose' by Harkness Roses of Hitchin. The rose was orange and black which used to be the colours of the Samaritans before they changed to green. The group won first prize in their category with this entry. |
