Description

The Luton Samaritans group at the Southend Carnival. It was windy that day and the parade route was very long. The theme for that year was 'Ruby Anniversary' as it was the 40th year anniversary of the Samaritans being in Luton. Rubies are traditionally used to celebrate 40th wedding anniversaries.

The group had a float that year for Luton Carnival but they did not take it to Southend.

Left to Right: Marilyn Gearing, Peter, Clive, Hilary.
front Row: Mike
