Letter from the mayor
Luton Irish Festival 2007

I have had the pleasure of attending several Irish functions so far, in my year in office.
Included was the official opening of your excellent new Irish centre, and attending  the annual Mayo and Galway Association dinner dances.
I am very impressed by the renewed vibrancy in your community. No doubt the Luton Irish Forum has had a major influence in that.
Congratulations on your continued voluntary organisation of your St Patrick’s Festival. It is good to see people get together and organise themselves. Your community are certainly doing that. The town appreciates your efforts to bring a bit of fun and gaiety to the area, and I hope you efforts will be rewarded with kind weather, and big attendances at all your events during your Festival week. I look forward to participating in your St Patrick’s day parade and presentation of Shamrock
