Article about the date ofthe 1960 carnival. At the meeting a silence was held in memory of the last chairman, Mr W. T. Grose. Mr Dyer, Councillor E. F. Tompkins and Mr A. G. Ayris paid tribute to him. Councillor Tompkins was elected as the new chairman. Mrs. W. T. Grose was elected as vice-president, Mr T. R. Staughton and Mr. H. G. Johnson were elected to the general committee.
